Brigitte Simeonides is an experienced Guardianship Lawyer and Financial Management Lawyer. Brigitte appears regularly in NCAT – Guardianship Division – both as a Separate Representative and as a Lawyer for parties to proceedings.

Separate Representatives are appointed by the Tribunal for persons for whom applications are made for either or both of Guardianship Orders and/or Financial Management Orders, where there is anything “unusual” in relation to the application or the person for whom the application has been made. This may be anything from the age of the person (under 18), family conflict/disagreement, and other specific issues.

Although there is no “right of appearance” for Lawyers in NCAT – Guardianship Division as there is in the Court system, the Tribunal may grant leave for lawyers to appear in certain circumstances. And whether or not leave is granted for actual representation, our lawyers can assist you in the proceedings, including in the hearing.
